Compositions of decorative plasters

When it comes to choosing finishing materials for the walls of a residential building, it deserves serious consideration. After all, most of us spend at least 10 hours a day inside a house or an apartment.

Compositions of decorative plasters depend on the type of base and binding agents. In many cases, lime, cement, and sand are used as a base.

Decorative plasters may contain materials such as wood fibres, granules, and stone chips. Some plasters also contain modifiers that improve their performance.

Some binders used in decorative plaster can be harmful so it is imperative that mineral mixtures use environmentally friendly cement.

Liquid glass is a safe product as is acrylic plaster, often used for interior wall decorations. Silicone compounds are mainly used for outdoor finishes.

Silk Plaster uses environmentally friendly wall coverings. The composition of Silk Plaster decorative plasters (liquid wallpapers) is unique and differs from most other plasters on the market today.  

It is important to note that only Silk Plaster has a patent for the production technology that uses silk fibre as the main component of decorative plasters. This unique finishing composition also contains natural cellulose, textile fibre, quartz mica plates, and other natural materials as fillers. The binder is an organic cellulose-based adhesive. All components of Silk Plaster decorative plasters are environmentally friendly.
